My Approach
MATHS: I always seek to build young people's confidence with maths skills - and help them discover that they can love maths! I come from a `maths mastery` background where understanding and depth is more important than simply following a process and covering increased content.
MUSIC: Instead of working through the ABRSM books I have developed my own resources which focus on topics rather than breaking the information up arbitrarily into the grades. The main focus is on the Grade 5 theory exam but I aim to improve general music understanding and musicianship and instil a love of theory. I tailor the speed and approach to the individual pupil, adapting to their natural learning style.
